Als Terroristen ein todbringendes, vom Militär modifiziertes Killervirus, auf die Menschheit loslassen, wird ein TV-Sender zum Zentrum der weltweiten Berichterstattung. Im Mittelpunkt steht die bekannte Fernsehjournalistin Katya Nevin, die zusammen mit ihrem Team den Zusammenbruch der Gesellschaft mittels Video-Feeds aus aller Welt miterleben muss. Brisant: Kurz vor der Katastrophe vertraute der verantwortliche Virologe seine schrecklichen Erkenntnisse dem Sender an, damit er die Welt über die wahren Hintergründe des Ausbruchs informiert. Während nun das freigesetzte Virus weltweit die Toten in fressgierige, willenlose Tötungsmaschinen verwandelt, sind sie alle im Sender gefangen und müssen einen Weg finden, zu überleben und weiter zu senden.
